Steel Supplier – Waste Not

Want not. Taking care of the environment and making best use out of all of the materials afforded to us is central to the B&B Hazell philosophy. As a steel supplier, we take our environmental responsibility seriously, and provide our off cuts and materials to those who need them more than we do, or we reuse them for other projects.

Any good steel supplier will custom build solutions for their customers, and we are definitely no exception. In doing this, our cuts and trims of metal sheeting results in a large number of off-cuts which can be used for other projects that both we and our customers will undertake in the future.

To ensure that these are used, we store our off cuts and materials separately for future use.

Cut as many times as needed

Just because an off cut is, by definition already cut in a certain way for the original project at hand, it definitely doesn’t mean that it can’t or won’t be cut again.

We keep all of our off cuts secure and stored in a way that preserves their quality and suitability for future projects. If you can use our off-cuts, we will re-cut them to your standards and for best use for your project.

As a steel supplier that is committed to best practice, we regularly monitor our work to ensure that we are being a sustainable as possible, using as least materials as we need to, which ultimately brings the price down for you.

Using off cuts is a part of this steel supplier best practice, and we ensure that when we re-cut, we do it in a way that is right for your future project.

Our process

As an ethical steel supplier, we hold to a core process across all of our metal fabrication products and service, ensuring that our customers get the best experience of us and the products they walk away from B&B Hazell possible.

The process is simple:

  1. Speak with you over the phone or in person to get a solid understanding of what you need
  2. Provide an obligation free and fixed price quote
  3. Custom design your welding and fabrication solution
  4. Test it and make sure it works
  5. Deliver on time
